Autumn is a magical time in Sonoma Wine County. The valley is painted with vibrant orange, red, and yellow shades throughout. It's also an exciting time as wineries get ready to harvest their crop for the year. With some of the nicest weather of the year, and it’s the best time to be outside soaking in the sun and enjoying the season with a glass of wine in hand.
Located in Sebastopol, Taft Street is a family-owned winery crafting delicious wines in the heart of Sonoma Wine County. What you get with Taft Street’s portfolio is really good wine that’s down-to-earth and fun to enjoy. Their charming outdoor space has a bocce ball court and inviting picnic tables sprinkled throughout their patio next to a lovely setting of trees.

Guests who visit the tasting room are greeted by a warm and friendly team ready to help with tasting selections. It's touches like this that really help make your wine country experience memorable. Tastings are happening outside on the patio so a reservation is needed but they'll try to accommodate walk-ins if space is available. The picnic tables are spaced out nicely and set against trees that help give some shade when they are full.

There's nothing like a picnic in wine country and Taft Street Winery has the perfect space for it. Pack a basket full of some savory and sweet bites and snacks to pair with your tasting flight.. Or stop by The Barlow if you're up for some lunch fare. It's a quick 10 minute drive from Taft Street and they've got a little bit of everything from sushi to pizza for your hungry crew. We grabbed a couple of pizzas from Acre Pizza and enjoyed them with our tasting flights. Great space to catch up with friends and we felt right at home in the outdoor patio.

Wine tastings at Taft Street are offered by the flight or by the glass. If you need help making a selection, the team at Taft Street is happy to help with some recommendations based on what you like. The wines are delicious. We started with a tasting flight trio of reds which consisted of the 2018 Skikos Pinot Noir, 2018 Los Amigos Vineyard Merlot, and 2016 Medallion Red Blend. We enjoyed all three, especially the Skikos Pinot Noir. A bright, bold Pinot Noir with fresh, fruity flavors. We bought a couple of bottles of the Skikos Pinot Noir to enjoy and relive our wine country experience at home.
