EASTER EGG BASKETS FOR THE GROWN-UPS

Growing up, the Easter basket was something we always looked forward to. Remember those days sitting at the kitchen table, as the room was filled with vibrant colored eggs, jelly beans, and chocolate bunnies. It's that time of year again when the sweet smells of spring fill the air, and kiddos everywhere are on the hunt for Easter eggs. But Easter baskets don't have to be only enjoyed by the kiddos. We've put together our own grown-up Easter basket to share the spring love, filled with a couple of local treats.

The Salty Sombitch are soft-baked cookies by Flour & Branch, made with love in San Francisco. These cookies come in lovely packaging and are individually wrapped, great for a gift for someone or for yourself. These cookies are made with Guittard butterscotch chips, chocolate-coated toffee, and finished with a dash of Maldon sea salt to give the perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of savory. We love that these are individually wrapped as they fit perfectly in our Easter basket.

Our favorite addition to any grown-up Easter basket is always a bottle of wine. We love a nice bottle of something sparkling, so we’ve added a 2019 Sparkling Rosé from Rockwall Winery in Alameda. Inspired by how the French in the Provence region make their rosé, Grenache and Counoise are the varietals used to create this sparkling wine. Notes found in this sparkling wine include hibiscus flower, jasmine tea, watermelon, rose petal, and a hint of strawberry. Chill in the fridge and it’s a lovely sparkling wine to enjoy on a lovely spring day.

Putting this basket together was a fun way to bring back the childhood nostalgia. Cheers to Easter & Spring!
