MEET US AT BAR SHIRU: THE BAY AREA’S FIRST HI-FI VINYL RECORD-LISTENING BAR IN OAKLAND

FIELD NOTES | AN EVENING IN THE BAY: BAR SHIRU - OAKLAND, CA

Raise a glass as the needle drops at Bar Shiru, a chill Uptown Oakland spot and the Bay Area's first hi-fi record-listening bar.

Inspired by the hi-fi bars found in Tokyo, it's where you can enjoy whisky highballs and kick back to the smooth sounds of jazz and soul vinyl records. The records are played on an analog, vinyl-centric sound system where the listening experience is the main attraction, complemented by the cocktail program and carefully curated spirit selection.

At Bar Shiru, the drinks are strong, and the vibes are good for the soul. Vibe this way.
