A Unique Wine Tasting Experience Paired with Doughnuts

Anaba Wines & Johnny Doughnuts have teamed up to create a delightfully fun wine experience that pairs three of Anaba’s Turbine wines with a curated selection of Johnny Doughnuts.

Located in Sonoma, CA, Anaba Wines offers a lovely setting to enjoy a day out in wine country. When the sun is out and the weather is nice, being out on the patio at Anaba feels like the perfect place to be. With a variety of experiences that range from yoga, wine tasting, and bocce ball, they’ve recently added a unique doughnut and wine pairing experience.

GLAZED AND CONFUSED | WINE AND DOUGHNUT TASTING

Each wine and doughnut has been thoughtfully paired together to create this unique tasting experience. Here’s what is in the tasting:

LEMON ROSEMARY DOUGHNUT x 2021 TURBINE WHITE RHÔNE BLEND
A classic doughnut that features a lemon glaze infused with rosemary. The rosemary and lemon flavors make for a nice balance of flavors with this doughnut and it paired really nicely with the Rhône Blend. This was our favorite pairing of the day.

ABOUT THE WINE: The white Rhône blend consistently produces lovely wines that go well with food. Peach peel and white plum are the main notes on the palate. Notes of Jasmine flower and honeydew melon are detected on the nose.

VANILLA OLD FASHIONED x 2021 TURBINE CHARDONNAY
An old fashioned doughnut with a mix of different spices that include nutmeg, clove, ginger and cinnamon. It is then finished with a vanilla bourbon glaze.

ABOUT THE WINE: The Turbine Chardonnay is fully fermented and aged in stainless steel. It is mostly sourced from vineyards along the coast. Because of this, the acidity and vibrant fruit flavors can truly stand out.

BROWNED BUTTER x 2021 TURBINE ROSÉ OF GRENACHE
A classic doughnut topped with a browned butter glaze and sprinkled with flour de set to finish.

ABOUT THE WINE: The Rosé of Grenache finishes with a bright acidity. On the nose, you'll get notes of ruby red grapefruit and jasmine. On the palate, you'll get the bright floral notes of white flowers and white tea.
